It’s no secret that the EU is unimpressed with Keir Starmer’s Brexit reset. Their main criticism is that, for all the new government claims restoring ties with Europe is central to its agenda, London has yet to explain in detail what it actually wants this new relationship to be.
Keeping Brussels in the dark is one thing, but Starmer is now spooking the very people who’d once hoped they’d be consulted on what a reset should look like and how it might be achieved.
