My dog doesn't like men in helmets, cyclists and motorcyclists. But she only barks at them. My main criticism of dogs would be that they seem to come without a volume control.
Men from certain cultures really seem terrified of dogs. But it's only ever the men, the women are fine.

My first best friend was a dog, but I don’t trust dogs in general - or actually their owners. When I read that a dog mauled or killed a toddler or attacked people at a party, I only blame the idiots who didn’t predict the obvious can happen. I think every animal career should read some literature on their pet’s physiology, psychology, communication and natural behaviour and ethology in general. Lots of accessible resources.

By owning a dog you are entering an army of violators of other's people rights.
Most real grown men (elspecially with family and/or kids) consider others people dog as AN ENEMY to his family, to his kids, regardless of it's size. This is normal for a man as a defender. This is a rule.
The exclusion of this rule was V. Putin - during ealry days of his service at KGB - he was delayed in carreer "due to lack of feel of an enemy". As I understand after many years in KGB he obtained an EXTRA volume of this "feature".
And in modern times, with all this madness, owning a dog is a sin.
And during the punishment of Sodom and Homorra, God destroyed several "righteous" people, because it is very simple: if you are "righteous" what are you doing in a city of sodomites?

Legally a dog is a property, a THING, like a pencil or a pen.
The friend is a friend.
Thousands of dog owners make an euthanasia of their healthy "friends" each year.
How many times you have made of euthanasia of any of your friends?
Calling a dog a "friend" or "member of the family" is another idiocy of modern times, because it is a hypocrisy.

I think I've asked this before, but what exactly did they do in Gomorrah that caused such a kerfuffle? I understand about sodomy (don't knock it until you've tried it), but the bible is very coy about Gomorrahy.

Anyway, interesting word for a dog. Similar to German and possibly common root with onomatopoeias for dog sounds in many languages. I’m a word junkie - amateurish etymology unchained: comparing words between languages, their roots, patterns, connections… makes me high! Do you have it too?
