"Farmageddon" comes to Dublin

https://www.rte.ie/news/2025/0823/15298 ... ll-dublin/

The game between the Kansas State 'Wildcats' and the Iowa State ‘Cyclones' kicked off at 5pm at the Aviva Stadium.
It is known as 'Farmageddon' because of the rivalry between the two predominately rural states.

Tomato farming going really well this season. Just finished with pomidorinis. Now going for Rome and in a week or two for the whole globe!
BTW, urine diluted with water 1:10 is the best fertiliser.

There were no specific tariffs on Irish whiskey during the 1930s, but rather the broad tariffs of the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 likely impacted exports of all goods, including whiskey. While not the primary target, Irish whiskey was subject to the generalized increase in tariffs on imported goods designed to protect U.S. domestic industries. This act, intended to help American farmers, instead triggered retaliatory tariffs from other nations, leading to a dramatic reduction in international trade and worsening the Great Depression.
