Home building has stagnated also because the electriciity grid is gridlocked. Tilt.
It's out there but it never had the same marketing hype pull as BigData at the time. Plus real world use cases where hardware sales were involved were a much harder push. Then there was the small matter of no one really giving a sh*t about internet connected fridges.BTW, what happened to IOT? No one talks about it.
