Wie viel Uhr ist es?

October 20th, 2025, 9:27 pm

A simple puzzle I couldn’t solve…

I wonder if you’ll also have a problem. Coincidentally, reading a nice book about it at the moment:
Exactly: How Precision Engineers Created the Modern World :-D

Why do you say you couldn’t solve it?

Dyslexia?
No internet?
No images loading?
You were being held at gunpoint?
Drink, drugs,...?
Mental health issues?
For a bet?
You are lying?
The solution is wrong?
Multiple solutions?
To be annoying?
You've been hacked?
Something involving a cat?

I'm fairly sure that katastrofa not being able to solve a problem is as rare as the Today Programme not being on air. Just in case though, I knocked up some Python so we have a reasonable way of knowing :)

Could qualify to the category of mental health problems, but not low self-esteem - not ze smallest chance after your comments  Rather maladaptive perfectionism.
The hour hand in the picture is pointing noticeably beyond "50 minutes". It should be at 5/6 of the hour gap (25 deg of 30 deg), so 4 minute ticks + 2/12 = 4.17. In the picture it shows ca 4.35 to my eye. It's 2-3 minutes too far!
