Cabinet Trades come to crypto. Probably the future for many tokens, too.

Crypto aside, but somewhat related: in 2023, very likely that you'll be able to trade securities in the US for $0.001 per share increments.

How time flies.

I started this thread on the Mt. Gox bankruptcy. After 10 years, it is resolved. Customers recovered 15% of their bitcoins. Being forced to wait 10 years turned out to be financially advantageous for many:

After a 10-Year Wait, Mt. Gox Bitcoin Is Finally Being Returned (Wired)

Others consider themselves lucky, in a perverse way, to have been caught in the bankruptcy. A customer from Sweden, who was 17 when he lost a couple of thousand dollars’ worth of bitcoin to Mt. Gox, finds himself in line for a $70,000 windfall. “I’m happy that kid was dumb enough to use Mt. Gox,” he says. “I know I would have spent all the coins way earlier if my hands weren’t tied this whole time.”

Bitcoin, if nothing else, is always entertaining.

Hasn't reached $100,000 yet at Coinbase (high there is $99,860).
There is a "modest" sell wall right at $100,000 -- call it 600 BTC (= $60 million).
When do you think it will be breached?

Re: End of bitcoin?

I've been keeping an eye on coin pairs on Kraken's L2/L3 order book. An interesting watch. Scalping signals a very low at the moment as you'd expect, there's the odd blip for Limit buy, market sell or just limit orders. I only did this to test out adaptable stop loss positioning. The whale drops have increased significantly over the year though, where you'd have one a month or two months September ramped up to 8-16 mini flash crashes. Wipes outs were obvious.
Reddit is hilarious at the moment, the idea of a decentralised peer to peer, no governance system has vanished beneath them.
