I am not likely to play cards with anyone I want to shock or embarrass.

Consider it a safe space where what would otherwise be shocking, embarrassing, and downright scandalous is just the outcome of playing the game! I have played it with our girls and their boyfriends, and it can make for some interesting dynamics. I probably wouldn’t play it with my mother though.

How can luggages be so pricey? What kind of margins do they make on this?

They only have a margin of Euro 1.60 for each derrière. They make more selling in-flight peanuts.

Wait, I’m confused. Setting aside the fact that “luggage” is not usually pluralized in English, are we talking about the expense of acquiring pieces of luggage or of bringing them on an airplane? I read the question as the former, but the reference to margins on butts suggests rather strongly that the answer is to the latter.

Disambiguation. I was talking about the price of the empty shells (by their very nature) one pays USD150-800.
"The less there is, the pricier it is" as they say at Apple.
