Not long now! Just one sleep! Everyone got their prize-winning British bubbly on ice?

I understand that some Remoaners want to switch off all electricity at 11pm in protest at Brexit. But some Remoaners want to switch on all lights similarly in protest. Is the split 52:48? Get your act together.

Just under 11 more months! You've lasted this long, in the home straight now!

Unfortunately there are no English reds, so we had to make do with a Chianti.
Perhaps not at Oddbins, but check out theenglishwinecollection.co.uk/collections/red. Quite a few to choose from.

I missed that story when it happened. The obvious reaction is that it must be a hoax, since Austrian stamps identify the country as Österreich. All other stamps, that is. A check on post.at verifies that it is legit. And quite funny.

I googled Austrian sense of humour to see if this was a good example. Boy, was it an eyeopener! Forget sense of humour, did you know that Austrian men pee sitting down?! It's all here: https://austrianadaptation.com/28-ways-to-be-austrian/

They probably don't want to cause a splash.

Yet, the British — whose “The Office” and Monty Python shows have become pillars of English-language humor — learn from the Badoo poll that they are not as funny as they think. They placed just seventh out of 15 — behind the Brazilians, French and Mexicans.

Good one! Made me chuckle!
