I got a phone call today out of the blue asking me to come for interview, when i didn't even remember applying to them!!I worked out that they must have got my CV when i submitted it via a online job posting, on the 'efinancialcareers' website. You should check it out, it's a really useful site, esp. for graduates. The Futures Trader position was advertised as 'best job of the week', with a simple link asking candidates to submit their CV via a link, and with little extra information about the position.Hope that helps.CC.

Sorry new to the site & learning how to use it.This was meant to be a reply to "BobM's" query below (about 1/2 way down this webpage.By the way...Has anyone who has gone for interviews with this company managed to find out more about the futures trader role they are recruiting for, since the careers seciton of their website is under construction. This makes it very hard to prepare for my upcoming interview!

Hey there Cheeky Chappie.I believe I'm in the same position as you with concerns to GHCO. I've been for the interview at Cannon St. and the role seems nice enough - although the starting pay is nothing to write home about. However, the training which is on offer, does seem comprehensive and would more than compensate for the average pay. Pay goes up accordingly with performance in subsequent years so it should all pay off, IMHO. They do emphasise the quantitative skills needed for the role (be aware of the quick-fire 2 minute Maths test) and the acumen/temperament required to be a trader. I'm pretty much in the dark myself, but if you want, you can private msg me to swap some details. When's your interview?

I know the starting pay for GHCO's New York office is $35,000 base but what about the pay for the London Office? Thanks
