Try trading on BBG when you have no direct link from BBG to the internal risk / finance / P&L system. That wrecks lives. )

They keep intraday futures historical prices/data available to users for up to 140 on Excel and 240 days via Python AP according to their support. User cannot even fecth longer historical intradays historical data. (I'm even not mentioning now that BBG suport answer doesn't quite match my experiment with their Python API with which I can actually get 195 days of intradays data for some futures contracts in commodities space otherwise my post would be at risk of being migrated to the rants thread).

You're absolutely right this should be the way to go. But in my current setup the onlly way is trying to get some bits of information from BBG support. Note that what the support person told me suggests it was a technical issue as opposed to a service/subscription limitation. Maybe someone else has such experience? (finally, note to big brother: I do have a BBG account, nothing unlawful and/or unethical!)
