I think it was 44 Westland Row, above Sweeeney's grocery.It's Centra now. 4 of us lived on the 3rd floor. i see they have new curtains. 1973.
BTW Oscar Wilde was born in Westland Row. And check out Sweny's (Lincoln Place) Jame Joyce museum just at bottom of WR opposite Kennedys. It used to be a pharmacy where you could buy ointments for all kinds of ailments. 

I've bought a few things from that Centra. Leap card, beer, food, etc. It's not bad, but a bit on the expensive side with regards to drink.

I saw the Oscar Wilde sign that they put up on the house across the street / kiddie corner to Centra.

I've walked past Sweneys a number of times. Didn't know it's a museum. I think they still do some pharmacy work.

I've only walked past it on Westland Row and out back on Cumberland St.

I'd never suggest buying a condo in any city anywhere in the world.  But that's just my own personal view on things.  Funny thing:  the apartments shown in the photo are part of a development in North Wall.  Between Citi and The Spencer Hotel. 

Rents dropped significantly starting Mid-March.  I was looking for places in January and February and it looked as though I'd need to commute for at least 45-50 minutes to reach either Pearse, Tara or Connolly stations.  Then bat aids hit, all these people who were holding apartments for AirBnB went bust, and schwuppdiwupp - cheap rents!  

Were you ever able to have pints in any of the following bars?  I'd assume so, but you can never know for sure.

1) The Brazen Head
2) The Boar's Head
3) Mayes

I knew 1), last time I was there was 1974 and it was an other-world, dark place, perfect for FW setting.

Was the photo taken on the Trinity grounds?  I have a feeling that's the case but can't be 100% sure.

What made you go with Cú Chulainn?  The folklore hero is very popular up north in Ulster.   Not an entirely an Tiocfaidh ár lá figure, if there ever was one.
