At Q&A in Provo, Mitt Romney says he's more conservative than Trump on immigration
"I’m also more of a hawk on immigration than even the president. My view was these DACA kids shouldn’t all be allowed to stay in the country legally.”
we'll put you down as a vote for the wall then, Mitt

Mitt Romney faces Senate primary in Utah after state GOP convention setback

utah has an unusual (and complicated) system for selecting senate candidates.
They have a dual convention/primary system.
The convention happens first.
To get on the primary ballot, you have to either place first or second at the convention or get 28,000 signatures.
If the convention winner gets over 60% and no "competitor" has enough signatures, they skip the primary and the convention winner is the nominee.
At the moment, Romney is the only candidate with enough signatures.
However, he came second at the convention by a hair, with the winner not reaching the 60% hurdle
Mike Kennedy, a family physician, got 50.88%
Mitt Romney got 49.12%

so the primary will be a run-off at the moment, Kennedy versus Romney

The land was worth millions. A Big Ag corporation sold it to Sonny Perdue’s company for $250,000.

In February 2017, weeks after President Donald Trump selected him to be agriculture secretary, Perdue’s company bought a small grain plant in South Carolina from one of the biggest agricultural corporations in America. (...) Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), sold the land at a small fraction of its estimated value just as it stood to benefit from a friendly secretary of agriculture. (...) ADM wanted $4 million for the plant — 16 times what Perdue’s company ultimately paid for it.

Not news, per se. Just another brick in the wall of corruption.
