Of course, I even thought about sending you a postcard from my recent trip to Karlstad! Gosh, food in Sweden is so much better! The cakes were divine!
Anyway, interesting word for a dog. Similar to German and possibly common root with onomatopoeias for dog sounds in many languages. I’m a word junkie - amateurish etymology unchained: comparing words between languages, their roots, patterns, connections… makes me high! Do you have it too?
How about ekorn? Or, a little more obscure, in the Hokksund-Kongsberg area, perch (åbbor) is known as tryte.
