Maybe, although I don't know how necessary that is for those of us that care enough to make it.I just stepped in from outside, and it is a gorgeous day. Am I missing a storm front that hasn't come below CPS yet?

The Boat Basin was a great idea Aaron! I'm glad I wasn't the only one held up, and couldn't have thought of anyplace better to welcome the spring (though I agree about the complaints of two few spring skirt fashion parades by the Hudson).I'll also post here a notice that Aaron mentioned something about the Collector speaking at 750 7th Ave on May 5th.

It was nice to be able to close the place, and still be home by 10 PM. The staff got unenthusiastic when the temperature dropped below 50. The pick-up scene was equally challenged (contradicting the conventional wisdom of Cole Porter's It's Too Darn Hot, "according to the Kinsey Report, every average guy you know, much prefers his lovey-dovey to court, when the temperature is low").Here are the event details.

Black Swan Event: We're walking east on 51st Street with a small group after Espen's talk (a smashing success, by the way, we all look forward to seeing the documentary version) and Nassim Taleb meets us coming west. He wasn't coming to the talk, he hadn't heard about it.

Nassim was completely outside my probability distribution, I think he must have been hiding on the corner, then jumping out (from a black hole) to prove his Black Swan theory

I seriously doubt it was Nassim. Did this person actually talk to you?If so, then it couldn't have been Nassim, because he sure never stops to talk to any of you here.As you said, Nassim hadn't heard about the talk, and I doubt that has changed. Somebody who had heard about it, or cared - such as the person on the street - couldn't be Nassim...
