KackToodles, agree as never before Predictors: I would not say i did not like the book, but nor I was impressed. I do not know, I found rather the opposite to glory. Usually I recommend this book to everyone who claims he/she found a new money making machine and is ready to bit the system. Outliers and Gladwell. Right, he is a very good writer. I also enjoyed reading his other two books, Blink and Tipping Point. BTW, I did not say that i agree with all his points! Some facts are more than dubious. Actually I do not expect to see breakthrough ideas in such books. So, it is ok. And, well, it goes very well with Taleb's books Freakonomics: same as Ourliers, except I liked it more.Nice thing about these type of books (and many other books mentioned in this forum) is that reading them is kind of reviewing a paper, i.e. critical and with doubts. >By the way, none of these books are "novels". kind of, but many other books proposed below are barely novels too. I added what was missing. Maybe it would make sense to mention my opinion too, but well, there are so many reviews on the net The Reluctant Fundamentalist (Paperback) by Mohsin Hamid Is this a novel for quants? Anyone? I have read the book, just curios what'syou view.
