i haven't actually sold any books via LSI australia. However, they are at least willing to pay my US and UK royalties via direct deposit in AUD to my bank account which is something.I only have to pay postage costs within Australia when I order books for myself.

Createspace now offer the same deal for amazon.co.uk and european amazon sites that they do for amazon.com . It seems that if you are based in Europe you can also get paid by direct deposit now.It seems that I will get 3 cheques: USD, GBP and EUR.

MJ,to avoid the check cashing, y can't u hv a USD a/c with say OANDA (US,UK,SG) etc (superb money txfer rates) - or just a US bank ? - have CS wire into ur USD a/c - then u wire out from them into local A$ a/c as needed?sorry if this was already considered, this is such a long (but fantastic) thread

it's not easy to open a US bank account from overseas.Nor is it easy to get a bank to do a wire transfer remotely.

if you are at the bank doing the origination it's easy. If you are a long way from it not so easy.
