Best of NY...

Last time I was in NY, I got one of our brokers to get me on to the floor of the NYSE and I got to walk around with him for an hour or so. That was cool. You can't really do that anywhere else in the world (maybe except the floors in Chicago, which I also got to stroll around in).

What happened next is something I'd rather forget about, but I know that next time I see someone even put the station on fire, I'll also walk away. Too many people in this world do not recognize the self defense value of a steaming hot cup of Starbucks coffee, thrown without lid, at a knife wielder, gratis, upon approach. Something about not being able to see properly while tearing I suppose.And to think that I don't even charge for this type of advice.

I think I'd rather be mugged than go into a Starbucks. In the UK they are disgusting places, you'll catch all kinds of diseases...much harder to cure than a simple knife wound.(What a pleasant thread!)P
