Re: Trackstar, where's my tea (it's 4 o clock)

In fact, I was in the city here last week and came across La Perla right near a historic common.
I spent some time there - I love silk pajamas and little lacy things!

The feeling of a well-worn wooden oar in hand is good too though - and sitting on a tiny sliding seat on a cold fall night - the exertion and discomfort make you appreciate the luxurious and comfortable things in life even more.

And now it is time for rowing indeed.  :D

Ta ta, my dear.  Enjoy your evening.

Ah, I see another post - yes the Fashion Show is coming soon!

Hmm! I was hoping to get some work done this evening, train some models, but it's all misbehaving!

You;ve discussed La Perla before (but it was some years ago!), very nice indeed. And I didn't know you were in the City, I thought you were perhaps busy scaring kids during halloween together with your sister.

Ps, T, how can you continue rowing during the winter? Do you wear a wetsuit? Gloves? Or do you have to stop?

Nature: Moon’s pull can trigger big earthquakes

"Even if slightly enhanced by the tides, the probability of a quake happening on any particular day in an earthquake-prone region remains very low. “It’s too small to take some actions,” he says."

"THE biggest Supermoon since World War 2 could trigger monster waves and earth-shattering earthquakes that will wreak havoc across the planet, conspiracy theorists have warned."

use kats, dogs and wolfs as sensors! if they take action then

No rowing around here in the winter - boathouses will not allow it due to the danger of fatal hypothermia if you wind up in the water.
So all of the die-hard rowers retreat to the gym and their basement erg dungeons.  Mine is also a well-stocked weight room and i have decorated it with a few posters (you can imagine the motivational themes... hehe!).  A new stereo system is going in soon too.
Spending time on the erg and pumping iron is not bad. To have a training goal, I'll do the "Crash-B" 2K erg competition in February.
Then we should be back on the water as soon as the ice is out - normally mid-March.

It was a nice last night on the water though - we all took different seats from our usual line up and so I was behind the stroke in seat 7.  Also mixed men and women, so different weight and power in the boat.  It was fun and we could have rowed many more miles, but the moon was out and it was time to head home. :)

Does rowing build abs muscles, trackstar? I've been doing all sorts of abs exercises for over half a year now and achieved something like in the first photo relatively quickly*, but no further effects despite increasing the intensity and weight.

Yes, much of the pull is from the core and also from the thighs and oddly the glutes are effected too.  ;)  I suppose i could pull a plow loaded up with concrete blocks, if I were a draft horse or an ox.
As a dog, life is just fine though.  If I ever got a dog, it would look like this Saluki - (they say people often look like their dogs.)  :)

Elegant, strong, and with a long pointed nose (a sign of nobility) - these dogs love to run fast!  and look at that beautiful silky fur.  A perfect creature.  :)

PS: for better abs, try Russian sit ups (aka "Russian twist") and also work with a Pilates ball.

Demo of the week:
For house kats, dogs, wolves, tigers, and snakes in the grass...and weird hybrids of all of them.

Those would be Chimeras - very interesting!

I know the torture. I've been doing series of them almost every day trying to build a six-pack.This is all I have achieved:
[How come I removed those photos from the Internet a few minutes after I posted them and they were still available under the links?!]
Phew! :-) Can you also see some abs muscles there or is it just my narcissistic imagination?

Sound like an impressive dungeons, I bet some man will even find it intimidating,.. but that's where the silk and home made deserts come in, it will  comfort them, help them relax and feel at ease.

Winters here are not what they used to be. I don't expect any snow or ice ever again, which is a sad thing. Skating on the canals with friends is so much fun. The rowing they do here is mainly in urban areas,.. so lot's of differences!

Eighteen sixty-nine being the date of the year
The Waterloo sportsmen they all did appear
To win the great prize and to bear it away
Never counting on ]Ireland and Master McGrath.

And when they arrived there in big London town,
The great English sportsmen they all gathered 'round.
One of the gentlemen gave it a ha-ha,
"Is that the great dog you call Master McGrath?"

Lord Lurgon stepped forward and he said, "Gentlemen,
If there are any among you have mondy to spend,
For your great English greyhound I don't care a straw,
Five thousand to one upon Master McGrath."

White Rose stood uncoverec, the great English pride;
Her trainer and owner were both by her side.
They led her away and the crowd cried< "Hurrah!"
For the pride of all England and Master McGrath.

As Rose and the Master, they both ran along,
"I wonder," said Rose, "what took you from your home.
Hou should have stayed there in your Irish domain
And not come to gain laurels on Albion's plains."

"I know," said McGrath, "we have wild heather bogs,
But you'll find in old Ireland we have good men and dogs.
Lead on, bold Brtitannia, give none of your jaw;
Snuff that up your nostrils," said Master McGrath.

The heare she led on, what a beautiful view,
As swift ad the wind o'er the green fields she flew.
He jumped on her back and he held up his paw:
"Three cheers for old Ireland," said Master McGrath.

"I've known many greyhounds that filled me with pride
In the days that are gon and it can't be denied,
But the greathes and the bravest the world ever saw
Was our champion of champions, brave Master McGrath.
