"Put a charm on your favorite team with this special set. It includes one voodoo doll, 34 national emblems and five needles. Weaken any opponents: Simply attach the emblem, stick in the needles and off you go"

I missed that; you obviously have more than espn2 wherever you are!My argentinian friends are saying 'brazil' already which is rather foreboding, yet probably true. I do look forward to the dutch/oz game sunday, probably the highlight considering brazil and/or japan will take out oz from their pool (hey I'm patriotic yet realistic)

CARRINGTON, England, June 2 (Reuters) - Manchester United's injured striker Wayne Rooney kicked a ball at their training ground on Friday and sparked a betting spree on his fitness for England's World Cup bid.Reporters spotted Rooney running, turning and kicking the ball at Carrington before the rest of his England team mates arrived for the World Cup squad's training session.Rooney suffered a broken metatarsal in his right foot against Chelsea on April 29 and is due for a scan on June 7 to see whether he could play any part in the finals in Germany.England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has until 24 hours before their opening Group B match against Paraguay on June 10 to decide whether to keep the gifted 20-year-old in the squad or replace him with a standby.Though his injury has cast a shadow over England's preparations for the finals, punters became suddenly optimistic after Friday's sighting."News that Wayne Rooney is running and kicking a ball in training has sparked a punting plunge on him to play a part in the World Cup," according to bookmaker William Hill, who added that odds about him playing had been cut from 6/4 to 8/11."Our clients are following up stories that Wayne is already kicking a ball in training and that he told Prince William he expects to be fit to play," said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. The prince visited the England squad during Thursday's training session at Carrington. He spoke to Rooney as they watched from the sidelines.

Regarding the whole betting issue..a couple of months back on one of these betting websites they were offering someone to take a "reverse bet" ie if Rooney scores on the match on saturday you pay them...if he doesnt they pay you.....Anyway before the betting company realised...some lucky punter had worked out that rooney was actually suspended...so the punter made a killing......

Rooney is injury free - Eriksson The last say in this story is Rooney's and mine England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson said striker Wayne Rooney is "injury free" and will be able to play at the World Cup as soon as he is match fit. The 20-year-old returned to England's camp late on Wednesday after a scan on his broken foot in Manchester. "I'm doing this in the best interests of Rooney, the England team and 40 million England fans," said Eriksson. "I'm prepared to listen to everyone and discuss Rooney, but the last say in this story is Rooney's and mine."
