Though I liked Florence much better than Venice, which felt a bit backwater :-) The bike tour across Tuscany and wine & olive oil tasting was great too. I had been told that Italy is amazing, but it still blew me away. You stick your head in a dog kennel: ceiling -- Titian, walls -- Tintoretto! The Italians are my kind of people too. They don't have the whole English bullshit but are neither brash like Americans nor hysterical like Spaniards.QuoteOriginally posted by: tagomaQuoteOriginally posted by: CuchulainnQuoteOriginally posted by: katastrofaI discovered that I understand Italian quite well. I have been working in an international environment where company language is English and pretty much no one is English-native (UK, US). AIn't either English-native.  It seems to me, my pronunciation while speaking in English has deteriorated over time. Could this be due to that envinronment of not native speakers? (It is a serious question!)
