Maybe he used this music thing as a cover up, but then it got out of control? I like his horror movie scores (while watching the movies) but this flute stuff makes me very nervous!Mike Oldfield's mother was Irish, of course. Many English are 2nd generation Irish (Costello, Morrissey, Boy G, Johnny Rotten..)He wrote Tubular Bells when he was 17 (1970) and Richard Brandon marketed it..DaveAngel's and Shirley's favourite is Moonlight Shadow (eco music, but still good)

Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019!

Yesterday (Christmas Eve 2018) was the 200th anniversary of Silent Night, when it was first performed at St. Nikola Church in Oberndorf, Germany

You probably mean Oberndorf am Neckar (Baden-Wurtenburg) .. I know it well, when I was younger and fitter I criss-cross country skied in the area. Black Forest is a wonderful place.

The area is a centre of mechanical engineering excellence.

If you don't know what to do with your X-mas tree, give it to goats:

Some animal sanctuaries in the cities collect them too, e.g. Kentish Town City Farm. (Of course, unless you prefer to eat them yourself.)
