I was sent a photo of BFS yesterday, to be honest it was a better service from the airport than normal.

"If the systems are online, it can be deleted remotely … if the system is offline, we'll have to get on a phone call with your IT support," he said.
Not all users were able to delete the buggy file remotely, and some needed to delete it manually for the device to work again.
Channel File 291 was the impacted file, according to CrowdStrike.

In an advisory, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has said the following method can be used as a workaround:
- Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory Locate the file matching "C-00000291*.sys", and delete it.

The frequency of updates "is probably the reason why (CrowdStrike) didn't test it as much," he said.
It is unclear how that faulty code got into the update and why it was not detected before being released to customers.
