And, as a mild-mannered PhD, it's not really my style.

They call it "stochastic terrorism" now.

To quote, or at least loosely paraphrase, one of the more sober participants in the first round Democratic primary debate tonight, Trump is an existential threat to the country and the world. And should be treated accordingly...

If Trump is feeling threatened he could try the Duterte defence.

A nice revelation by the NYT of election fraud by a Republican operator running the web site https://joebiden.info/

Trump has apparently got his tongue back into his own mouth after his triumphant celebration of the great Kim!

Yes, it was definitely "take your daughter to work day" last week in the royal Trump household. This week, he will hold a military parade in Washington worthy of his idols Kim, Xi, and Putin; and massively unworthy of the US. And then he has declared (via the only medium he knows how to operate) a single-handed overruling of the Supreme Court on the inclusion of the toxic citizenship question in the 2020 census. Because, well, fuck the Supremes! They are like, black, or something!

I don't mean to offend anybody who is not from a "Western country", but I don't believe there has been a head of state as far out of control in a Western country since 1945. Maybe Franco? I'll take suggestions.

Why is a military parade unworthy of the US? US is a military empire which likes to use its armed power to pursue its interests. It would be hypocritical to deny it.

Franco was very much in control of himself. I'd bet on Boris Yeltsin (if you include Russia in this group), whom US installed as Russia's president in 1995.

The irony of history ;-)

"The Continental Army suffered a bitter winter at Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware and seized victory from Cornwallis of Yorktown.
Our Army manned the air, it ran the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do."
- President Trump on the American Revolution of 1776
