Hi everyone! I’ve just heard that the unrealized capital gain coming from the investment in stock mark market, not the dividend, will also be taxed in Colombia. Is that true? More detailed info regarding this issue will also be appreciated.

A cursory read of a recent KPMG guide to Colombian taxation (I got curious) suggests no such thing. Dividends are taxed pretty high, but capital gains at the sale of assets held for more than two years seem to be taxed at 10%. More to the point, no reference was made to taxing mark to market gains.
