We should organize a training course there! Do you think people would travel from all around the world to a beautiful island, with beaches, palm trees, dolphins? And kippers.
We've discussed this before; they only look like palm trees (we don't have to tell them that, just tell the name in Latin, you know what priests and GPS do,!), They are NZ cabbage plants, (Cordyline australis) The leaves are edible but useless for burning. Life expectancy about 50 years. It's called decline.

A good point! I'm in. It makes a change from boring London and Amsterdam ;)
I'll bring them down the Laxey mines and the kliller bees, toughen those quants up, what?
Port Merrion would be good.

Who's the 60s English rock artist who had a record shop in Peel (in that quaint street)?
Yes, Rick Wakeman, came in a flash.
I saw him on the ferry once.

2019 "Get BREXIT done"
2020 "Keep BREXIT off the front pages" (of Telegraph)

We've got soccer World Cup and Oylmpics to distract us.

Britain’s cultural elite think those of us who voted for this Tory landslide are thick racists

I remember reading an interview with Simon Rattle. He didn't see any problem with the Brexit. Quite the opposite, he was excited at the new opportunities it would bring. Honestly, I don't remember elites being concerned with it much, unless they are talking about this idiot:

The general feeling here is that Netherlands will be European soccer champions in 2020.

It should be called footbullying there days. From top teams only the English play fair. I stopped watching the Championships, because it was too embarrassing.

The general feeling outside of the Netherlands is likely to be somewhat different.
Anyways, ... I won´t go to the Netherlands, prefer when it was called Holland.

2020 will be a Very Symmetric Year!  and let's hope for 2/20, the same procedure as every year James!

and don't forget it is the year of the Metal Rat!
Somehow, foreigners don't have the same affinity for "Dinner for one" as those of us who grew up with it. Dinner for one
It was shown everywhere except UK. I remember the Germans falling for it.

It is quite funny.

The strangest thing is how there is a long introduction at the start in German explaining what the film is about. Is that a common thing in Europe, that you need to be told in advance that something is funny and perhaps when you are supposed to laugh?
