Good ATL COM Books

January 28th, 2004, 10:04 am

Can anyone recommend a good ATL COM Book for a beginner?I have heard that "ATL Internals" is a very good book, its been described as the bible. I would like a book that would build me up to that level first, starting with the basics of COM, before moving on to ATL and how it is done in VC++.Has anyone had a good experience with one of these book and a good method for learning ATL programming from the ground up?Thanks,Mexx.

"Essential COM" by Don Box."ATL Internals" is the only decent ATL book I used in the past, since everything else centered on building lightweight controls (not what I wanted to do, I had to build an entire app, and the requirement was NO MFC !) HTH
