marcos--In the mid-80s I was interested in molecular modeling since it was one of the few areas in Physics/computer science that was hot. I think Rapaport was/is at Cambridge. U of A is a good second choice with Frenkel & Smit. The connection with QF is MC simulation.I still get the Journal of Computational Chemistry for light reading.Edit: Almost forgot... force field-based molecular simulation is closely related to stochastic calc and diff geo methods in QF.

N,He was asking about theoretical physics. Not about quant finance.

He was asking about theoretical physics. Not about quant finance. Sorry, It's late... must have logged into the wrong forum.Cambridge is also the place to go for theoretical physics.... Excellent string theory and Clifford algebra.Unfortunately, a MS in theoretical physics will only qualify him for a manager's job at Starbucks.

Are you speaking from experience or are you the HR manager at Starbucks? What's wrong with that? 3/4 of the old Bell Labs work at Starbucks.

I’m just curious about the qualification requirement for management level work at Starbucks? Where would a masters in hotel management land you at Starbucks? Janitor or cleaner? My colleague at Starbucks who is a manager there used to be the team leader in a18 to 30 holiday club (didn’t finish school). He reckons as I have Ph d in Physics I would barely be able to be his assistant… that is after 1 year of training. What do you think? Any tips to improve my chances besides the obvious of working at Bell labs?
