I downloaded the BB Windows API components yesterday and they don't seem to come with documentation. I found the unix C api docs on the website, but not anything about the COM object, other than a really thin intro to FIX protocol stuff. What am I missing here? How do I find out the equivalent of bb_rcvdata() for the COM interface?

Type ActiveX [F1] and go to menu 5 Documents/Magazine Articles. The first article, Blomberg API Help - ActiveX and C API (English) has 2 items. The exe is a winzip containing the file BB_API_Help.chm. This is the helpfile for both C and COM apis.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't actually have a BB accnt yet. I figure it has to be somewhere publically available for third party developers.

There is a URL that points to the Bloomberg API Developers Website This can be accessed on a licensed terminal, but I don't know if it works over the internet.

http://about.bloomberg.com/software/index.html and select under Additional Software Support Downloads and Documentation. You're going to find it tough to develop without an authorised terminal.
