Hello board members,I'm just trying to get ahold of what kind of jobs are generally available to graduates of these programs. For example, if one were to graduate from the program with no full-time prior work experience, would they expect to enter a bank as a first year analyst? Alternatively, if someone had worked for two or three years in finance prior to entering, would they likely enter as an associate?I'm just trying to get a handle of what kinds of jobs are available to graduates of these programs, and how much of that is determined by prior experience.

Most of my friends end up in risk mgt doing programming/quant stuff, esp. for those who do not have prior work experience this seems to be a starting point.

From experience for plain vanilla stuff a MSc Fin Math is not really necessary. For exotics I reckon it would help.

Your biggest problem would be to get an entry level job, as most jobs require 1-2 years worth of experience. Also to make a crack into the field without a degree from a reputed institute is going to be v. difficult.
