Hi guys,I am new to this forum and found many of the threads very informative. Does anyone has an idea about parttime MFE at NYU/Columbia. I am 25 and work for Bloomberg(1+yr) and 2+ in other firms. I have MS(3.9 GPA) and BS in CS and applying for Fall '05. I am not sure If I am too late to apply. I have 800 in quant GRE but my verbal is very less but descent TOEFL. Does anybody has an idea watz my probability to get into one of these univs. Assuming that I am applying now. I am confused because NYU has only 5-10 parttime seats. Thank you guys.

Applying late is always to your disadvantage. Don't worry about the verbal part; they don't care too much about it. I'd say for those schools that you mentioned, their spots have already taken by most students. Unless you are absolutely outstanding, you will not be admitted. But again it never hurts to try and see what happens. Maybe you are truly outstanding I'd say unless you HAVE to start your program this year due to some reasons, applying next year is your best bet. Good luck!

Oh ok, good luck then! NYU has one of the best financial mathematics programs around and networking with the program director is absolutely to your advantage when it comes to applying.
