Great detail and beginner usually doesn't go hand in hand.. The book I used were:"Elementary Linear Algebra", Anton RorresI found it typically american (quite wordy), but overall quite nice - many examples etc.Quite nice for a beginner if by beginner you mean you are taking some of yourfirst university level courses in mathematics (linear algebra often is).
