Hey folks,I'm seeking admission in January 2006 in one of HEC Montreal or Universite de Montreal for Masters in Financial Eng. Can anyone please give me some advice on which one to choose, say if I get admission to both of them. I'm fully proficient in French and I have a BS in Math from McGill.Thanx.

Do some research on the faculty, alumni, ability to get a job on graduation and the schools connection with IBs.Once you go through those items and probably a few more that you think of you'll come to your own conclusion quickly.Otherwise there's an unofficial ranking of FE schools in north america. I believe you can find it on the global derivatives web site.

Why don't you get into both, then decide? It will be much easier then.

Thank you FlyingQuant. On the global-derivatives site, HEC Montreal is ranked 17th but Universite de Montreal is not ranked at all. I think that should be a factor to take into account.Moogle: Trying to be funny?

No I wasn't trying to be funny. Since you applied to both and you cannot predict the future, it is better to wait for the results. Unless of course, if you think you could get into both schools for sure.
