Not fun. Next time, will have to learn the accountancy section better. Then again, if I'm looking on this site rather than www.accountancy.org , is learning US GAAP accountancy procedure really that worth knowing in depth ?

Hey!I sat L1 in London on Sat. I have mixed feelings about it: some bits were quite straightforward and others quite tricky. I really don't know whether or not I have passed or failed. I hate feeling this way because I can almost always work out how I've done.I thought the morning went better than the afternoon. I'd be interested to hear the views of the other level 1ers who took the exam on Saturday.

I took L1 on sat as well. I found the afternoon paper better though. I felt, the questions were more biased towards certain aspects of the curriculum, than the practice papers. In all it was an experience and if I do not pass, O certainly know what to expect next time.

ppauper, given how well you did, I am wondering how you prepared for the examinations. I read all the assigned and preliminary readings, as well as practising exam questions and I still didn't feel completely on the ball. I did not takje any courses though. Passing tips will be really helpful.Thanks.

I have the same experience with ppauper.Passed L1, L2, L3 in one take each. Here's my study regimen:1) Read all the required readings (but not in-depth, just making sure i didn't miss anything)2) 3 months before the test, I bought practice software (Stalla or Schwesser) and answered 20 questions a day.
