I am going to start a new job in Greenwich CT. I am not familiar with the area, so I will appreciate any advice about places nearby where one could find affordable housing.Thanks.

Norwalk should be somewhat cheaper ... & 20-30 mins drive from Greenwich.Further up north on I-95, more cheaper.

I work there now and drive up from Manhattan. About 40 minutes depending on traffic and how fast you drive. 30 minutes was the number to beat on our desk.

If u r single, don't do it...commute from manhattan on the train. If u r married w/kids it's OK--its the country. It is one of the lamest places on planet earth for a single guy to live, trust me I did it for a year.
