I'm interning at a hedge fund based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut called Ellington Management Group (http://www.ellington.com) this summer. Does anyone know anything about this hedge fund? What do you think of it? Is it a good place to stay with? Honest opinion of Ellington is appreciated.Much thanks!

Yes, Ellington is probably a good place to stay with. They're one of the premier mortgage hedge funds. They're known for consistently good returns. You can learn more before you get there from an article in Bloomberg magazine that profiled the firm's founder, Michael Vranos. The issue was in 2003 or 2004, I can't remember which.

One of the best, we have had (not me personally) contact with them, very sharp people, most of them came from the sell side.

Haha. That's a great comic.A buddy of mine (he's a freshman) is also interning at Ellington. Any special suggestions for him because he's a frosh?
