Hi all, Id like to know whether Statistical learning techniques are actually used by the IBs and hedge funds in their work? and also do they recruit EE/CS PhDs who have done their thesis in pattern recognition/ learning? I did see a few job ads, but i also read that some of the ads are fake etc, so would like to hear from the quants themselves thankspgeek
