MFE + Law ?

This is a little off topic, compared to the standard question about which is the best MFE course in the universe, but...To be a hard-core quant, if you haven't got a PhD, you need an awful lot of luck. However, the structured products side of things, does require some element of legal skills. If you've got an MFE, is doing a part-time law degree of significant value ? Does this apply only to those in the middle office dealing with ISDA agreements, or does it apply to FO as well ?Or do people foresee the whole legal thing being completely outsourced to external counsel ?Comments appreciated
