Got the latest copy of the Wilmott magazine and was excited by the fantastic offers on some of the books. Imagine my disappointment when I logged onto the website to find that that the offers were not as generous as I had been led to believe. Can I buy them from the book and sell them back on the website?More seriously, I appreciate that prices may vary over time and there may have been a sudden rush on certain books due to the offers, resulting in an increase in their price. However, given the unreliability of our postal system I'm not sure that it's worth putting the prices in the magazine if its not a market in which all likely agents are able to partcipate. Unless of course the arb is possible.T

Well, I might be wrong here, but the prices quoted in the magazine has nothing to dowith the prices listed in the bookshop. The prices in the magazine is for subscribers andare available from Wiley if you can prove you are a subscriber. The prices in the bookshop are not magazine-great but they are VERY good compared toother sources, espescially if you don't have a local bookshop which cary much finance-books.

Contacted Wiley on the number given in the magazine but they claim not to know anything about these offers. What is going on here?T

Tomo, Patrik is correct. The bookshop is for all our community, with pretty decent offers. You don't even have to be a wilmott.com member. The 40% is only for subscribers to the magazine, and is the same deal that bookshops get...therefore, unless you own a bookshop, you won't get better!Contact Graham Russel for details...he's the main man at Wiley.P

Patrik's quite right. The Wilmott Book Club is only for subscribers to the magazine - but even institutions can take advantage of it.Once you've subscribed, you'll be able to get any of the books listed in the Book Club pages of the magazine at 40% off their normal prices.... And there will be more temptingly good books added in the next issue of Wilmott magazine. For setting up a subscription, the Wiley "journals customer service" team can be phoned on (UK) +44 1243 843336 or via email on <a href=mailto:
