Recently I have heard of KBC Financial Products and their Hedge Fund AIM. Their website says they were bought from D E Shaw some seven years ago and developed a few high margin desks since. They seem to do interesting stuff. Most people I have talked to know little of them. Does anyone here have more information about their business and standing in the industry? How is their hedge fund rated?Looked some old threads but could not find much information there.

KBC FP is the number one issuer of equity warrants in Hong Kong in terms of volume. They also have a structured note business in Hong Kong and Korea. Another big piece of their business is in London I think.I don't think they have started selling their hedge funds to public so you won't be able to find info about them.

Thanks imsky.I know that most hedge funds do not have open access public websites. And yes, their hedge fund has been up and running for the past six years with multi bn AUM. I am asking this as I have a PhD friend who applied for them and I could not give him any information. I was hoping the someone here might be working in the hedge fund industry and have insider industry knowledge.
