Fidelity usually does that kind of interview set up. Be prepared to answer any question related to your analysis. If you were interviewing Goldman or some other big well reputed research group then it would have been 8 hours back to back. I have had interviews when I was asked technical questions even during lunch. It is annoying.

Are these type of interviews for someone with a lot experience? I have applied for investment analyst roles, but don't have any practical experience. Would such interviews be imposed upon me? Many thanks.

But these types of interviews are common almost for any associate/analyst and entry level officer like VP role. How people higher in ranks to VP get hired is something that I do not know much about.
