Hi All, been lurking for a while but this is my first post.I have a phone interview with Starmine in San Francisco this week. If any of you have experience with their hiring process, any info tidbits you'd be willing to share would be most appreciated. How many rounds was it, what vibe did you get, what kind of questions did they ask... that kind of thing.Thanks much!

I suppose they have a few signals that work very well for them. If I am not wrong, you shall also have to sign some non-disclosure forms just for interviewing, which indicates some sort of micromanagement. As such they have a reasonable reputation in the bay area but when compared to BGI and BARRA , Starmine is no where close in competition.

Interesting. The person I interviewed with today does have a modeling/research background, and did not seem cocky, so perhaps that has changed. Nor did I have to sign a nondisclosure agreement. I'm pursuing BGI however, so we'll see what happens.Thanks for the info!

How'd it go? I have a phone interview coming up. They asked me to study a website and that they would quiz me off of what I rememeber from it. What sort of stuff did they ask?
