What's the typical all-in salary for a 1/2 year internship in ibanking? well, in my case it's called "fixed time employment", and since i have to do exactly the same as the other juniors, i suppose i should be paid approx. that. but how much is "that"? HR people want me to say a number, i don't want to oversell, but i have debt from school, and money would be nice. what should i tell them?CM

i had the same arrangement and it turned into a permanent position. so good luck.i think starting associate base salaries are in the 100-125K range in NYwith ibanks not necessarily at the top of the range because everybody applies to them anyways.you can make a case that you have to pay for your own health insurance (if that is the case).debt is sometimes considered through signing and guaranteed bonuses and you may haveto kiss those good bye given the market.
