Hi guysI have just graduated in Bachelor of business majoring in finance and will do GMAT prep course soon and I will go to USA to do my masters degree. now, here is the problem, I dont know if I should do financial engineering or not, although I have a very very strong interest in finance world (stocks, forex, options etc) my friend from New Jersey told me that guys on Wall st are looking for Math guys instead of financial engineering guys. If you guys can give me some advice on what to study for masters and phd I will thank you all a million in advance. Thank you very much. you advices might change my life for good.

But wouldnt MBA be too broad? I looked into the prospectus of MBA at my university and it covers too many things, so I guess it is not going to be in depth with financial engineering right.I missed out the admissions for 2010 as most their financial engineering early in the year and my internship finished on Feb 22 2010 so I can only go for the 2011 start. What topics and books or anything do u guys recommend me looking into? I know cointergration is important and stochastic modelling as well. Please give me more advice guys I am here to learn and I can take critics. Everyone starts somewhere and I believe it is a good start for me right here
