Bond Concepts and Trading techniques

May 26th, 2010, 11:19 am

Hi All - I am not a beginner just to confirm.Working for Derivative Industry requires me ,on a daily basis, to interact with CDS , Bonds , IRS , etc. Senior Traders . The daily terminologies like DAIGR 11's , Spread above MS and above BM , Risk adjusted Delta etc. are not so quick to understand on a first look. Can any please suggest me a good book/read which covers the basic concepts of Bond Trading /Maths etc. Have already read Hull . Very good book. These practical notations are market specific and want to understand them so that my interaction becomes fruitful.Thought of starting with Bonds first and then will move towards derivatives( or, if there is one book which not only explained about Fixed Income Securities but these derivatives too would be great ). Hence in the end , need a complete book which not only describes basic mathematics but also recent trading strategies/techniques etc.Google search throws up a lot many options and don't know which one is best to start with.May be any of the experienced members present here recall the books they read to learn the concepts. Thanks very much guys for your help.Appreciate the effort

Here's a simple, short one: Bruck Tuckman - Fixed Income - Tools for Today's MarketsAnd reread Hull, I've read it 5 times, and I still continue to learn from it.
