Mortgages are a great area to be in. It depends on what you like. I personally would prefer mortgages.

Both the asset class and the place where you work are important. Rates and well known bank is the best combination. You can figure out what the other combinations would add up to.

I would not look at the short term career prospect. You have two years of work experience and so I would assume that they would dicount 1 year of your work ex i.e a fresh graduate would need 3 years to get promoted then you would need 2 years. Better ask them regarding this point.Too things that you are not considering is the quality of people and the work culture. Big brands generally have better quality of people. Work culture fit is extemely important.
