You are fucked man!! The number one problem is because you are flattered it is a FO position. There is not such thing as a FO position in Tech. You are in Tech period. And FO tech is the worst like BO business is the worst. Is this grad postion? What does the team do? Why are your expectations from the FO-tech position? What do you seriously want to do say after 5 years?Its good that you are excited but maybe you have wrong expectations.

You need to go in with a plan. There is nothing cool in itself about FO in Tech. In fact you will be firefighting like crazy. You can learn a lot in the process. I don't think bonuses are any different compared to BO IT. Just keep your eyes wide open and judge things on merit and not based on all the Kool aid everyone feeds you.

I'm with Cappy on this one, FO is... somewhat humiliating. FOIT doesn't pay any differently from MO or BO to the best of my knowledge, though because the projects are more visible, promotions tend to be a bit quicker.That said, there are some interesting parts of FO -> Algo/OM/Ecommerce, etc can be fun. From time to time.

You are not in FO unless you have series 7 - don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
