Hi All, I recently bumped into wilmott while doing an online search. Seems like a pretty active forum. I am currently doing MS in Financial Mathematics (just started this fall) and was wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to go about searching for a summer internship (Apart from applying on company websites , which i doubt if it works).Also, does anyone have any ideas about how to go about increasing ones marketability? What I basically mean is, are there any certifications which are worth obtaining? I have seen a lot of them while searching online- But some, I have no idea about and others as CFA are simply beyond the scope (for the most part) of someone new to the field of finance.Oasis

actually, cfa is perfect for someone new to finance.. you get thought a bit about everything though not a lot of use for someone wanting a quant role.. quant as per cfa ends w/ multiple regressions/simplified arima/arma models..
