interesting idea but not gonna fly with hiring managers. I have made people who stated that having the CFA designation did not help them much. At the end of the day, having a good fit background and personality wise is what the hiring managers are looking for.

The investor gets a prospectus, which details the structure of the deals (water fall, triggers, credit enhancements, etc.). There are also some summary statistics about the underlying collateral.
I would start out by focusing on the individual loan collateral analyst and how that affect the deals underlying the CMBX index. That would yield the most bang for your efforts.
