Kirk Spread Option Approximation

Thanks, gammashark. That's exactly what I needed. Yeren, I already found that webpage, but it didn't explain how to modify d1 and d2.

ANy tips on Royal Bank of Canada Interview process

Just found out I didn't make the cut for the 2nd round. The guy I spoke with said that people who have been selected have already been notified. I was surprised because I thought my 1st interview went well. Maybe being on the west coast hurt my chances. Anyways, good luck to all!

FishSauce seeking advice ...

<t>FishSauce, get over it - DE Shaw isn't the only firm out there. Also, don't be so sensitive about being rejected after an interview. Lots of us on these boards have been rejected by dozens of firms and we've managed to hang in there.Advice: don't get attached to a firm - especially if you don't w...

Canada financial job market

I know a couple people who made it to the final round of RBC's Dealer Training interviews with just a BBA. However, they did have a few years of related experience. The majority of those being interviewed were MBA's. Not sure about the other banks.

Canada financial job market

<t>I'm interested in the Sales and Trading rotational programs offered to recent grads in Canada. With recruiting season just around the corner, I'm curious about positions like RBC's Dealer Training Program and similar ones at CIBC, TD, Scotia, and BMO. How tough is it to land one of these jobs? Ho...

What should I prepare to get into a top MFE/FINMATH program

<t>The Stanford and Chicago programs are the only ones I know that recommend the GRE Math Subject test. Make sure you get good letters of recommendation. This is a very important part of the application process. Perhaps you might want to register for the Level 1 CFA exam. This is certainly not neces...

any Wilmotters write the CFA exam ?

<t>Did the LIII exam this year. Found it moderately difficult, but fair. Compared to the questions that I studied from last year's exam, I thought our exam was easier. Ethics was a complete nightmare. I was only sure of 3 out of the 12 questions. Only reason I wrote the exam was because i passed the...

actuarial exams versus CFA

<t>I used to work for an actuarial consulting firm and am now looking to move into the quant world. I completed the first 4 SOA exams and found them to be not very relevant. Some of the stuff covered in course 2 and course 6 is useful, but the rest deal with topics like life contingencies, survival ...

Royal Bank of Canada CM

Would the same be true for Canada? I would suspect that it would be a lot tougher to get into the dealer training program in Canada because RBC is arguably the top bank in the country.
