USA vs. UK degree designations

<t>Thanks for all the previous replies, but I have a few more questions. If you already have an MSc, why would you do an MPhil? Would having an MPhil allow you to teach at the university level or is having a PhD the only way to get into academia? If you don't go into academia with an MPhil what is th...

Its probably $1,024 per CREDIT. And each semester you probably take four classes each worth 3 credits...so thats $12,000.

age of 3 kids

<t>Because there are 2 ways to get 13..........both (2,2,9) and (1,6,6) sum to 13 and multiply together to get 36. He can't tell the exact breakdown of the kid's ages, therefore he needs more information and he asks the mother to give him more info. If it wasn't 13, then he wouldn't need more inform...

age of 3 kids

<t>Because if its 16, then the census taker knows the answer is (1,3,12) since that is the only way to sum to 16 and also yield a multiplication to 36. If he knows its the right answer, then he doesn't need to ask the mother for more information! The question then becomes, what did he see on the door...

age of 3 kids

<t>Because if its 16, that means the cenus taker doesn't need any more information. But as per the problem, he does in fact need more information. The only way he could need more information is if the house next door was 13 because then there would be two possible and viable scenarios: (1,6,6) and (...

USC and CMU

<t>I think you have to look at the big picture...i.e. what does it matter if you take a loan today for 60k or 30k if you future earnings will be far superior if you took the 60k loan?I was going to go to Ga Tech, very cheap compared to CMU in NY, but after getting admitted to CMU, I'm not thinking t...

Do we have one too many Risk Management Associations?

I'd like to revisit this topic since it hasn't been posted on in about 1 year. Is taking either the PRM or FRM a total waste of time? Is their any global name recognition for these certifications? Who benefits from taking these exams?
